Description
The pressure relief valve is an original spare part for DeLonghi EAM, ESAM, ECA, EC and ETAM coffee machines. The valve is located behind the pump and is connected to the heating element and the drain outlet.

During coffee brewing, the safety valve closes the drain outlet. After the cycle has finished, the remaining water is drained through the valve to the drip tray as pressure in the system decreases.

The relief valve is usually replaced if the coffee grounds in the grounds container are wet, a firm coffee puck does not form, a leak is visible on the valve body or too much water enters the drip tray during brewing. This spare part can also be replaced and the coffee machine serviced at the ATAR service centre.
