The pressure relief valve is an original spare part for DeLonghi PrimaDonna S, PrimaDonna XS, Eletta Cappuccino and Autentica Cappuccino coffee machines. The valve is located behind the pump and is connected to the heating element and the drain outlet.

During coffee brewing, the safety valve closes the drain outlet. After the cycle has finished, the remaining water is drained through the valve to the drip tray as pressure in the system decreases.

The relief valve is usually replaced if the coffee grounds in the grounds container are wet, a firm coffee puck does not form, a leak is visible on the valve body or too much water enters the drip tray during brewing. This spare part can also be replaced and the coffee machine serviced at the ATAR service centre.

The air intake nozzle is located on the coffee machine's ceramic valve. The air required for milk frothing is drawn in through it.

The air intake nozzle on the ceramic valve is usually replaced if:
• only hot milk is dispensed instead of milk foam;
• milk frothing has deteriorated significantly and does not improve after thorough cleaning of the milk system.

Before replacing the nozzle, thoroughly clean the milk tube and the removable milk frother parts located in the coffee spout. After cleaning, reassemble the frother and check that all parts are correctly fitted and connected.

The water tank assembly is usually replaced for two reasons.
