• persistent limescale marks or deposits on the panel spoil the appearance of the coffee machine.

The coffee boiler thermostat screws into the boiler. It controls boiler heating and cuts power to the heating element when the temperature reaches 107 °C.
The contact thermostat is usually replaced if:
• the coffee machine does not heat water;
• the coffee is cold or only lukewarm;
• during coffee preparation, the group head dispenses very hot water with steam or only steam.
Before purchasing, check that the existing thermostat is marked 107 °C. Do not confuse it with the 145 °C steam thermostat, whose manufacturer codes are 421946504771, 996530054612 and DM1288.
