Steam thermostat 145 °C for Gaggia coffee machines (421946504771)

The 145 °C contact thermostat with an M4×0.7 thread is an original spare part for Gaggia Evolution Espresso, Baby, Baby Twin, New Baby, Classic, New Classic, Classic E24 and Classic 30 series coffee machines.

The thermostat screws into the boiler. It controls boiler heating in steam mode and, when the temperature reaches 145 °C, cuts power to the heating element, stopping the boiler from heating further.

The steam thermostat is usually replaced if:

• the coffee machine does not produce steam;
• the steam output is too weak to froth milk;
• hot water comes from the steam wand instead of steam.

Before purchasing, check that the installed thermostat is marked 145 °C. Do not confuse it with the 107 °C brew thermostat, whose manufacturer part numbers are 421946504761, 996530054556, DM1168 and DM1168/K.
