Steam valve piston for Saeco coffee machines (996530069889)

The steam and hot water valve pin is a genuine spare part for Saeco Magic, Royal and Stratos coffee machines.

The steam valve plunger is located inside the body of the steam and hot water valve. When the valve is closed, the plunger and its seal prevent water or steam from escaping through the steam wand.

The steam valve piston is usually replaced when:
• the piston seal is worn or has hardened, causing water to keep dripping or steam to keep escaping from the steam wand after the valve is closed.

Before purchasing a steam valve piston, check whether limescale deposits are causing the leak: descale the coffee machine according to the instructions for your model. If water still drips or steam still escapes from the steam wand after descaling and closing the valve, the piston with its seal may need to be replaced.

Important: before purchasing, check that your Saeco coffee machine model is included in the list of compatible models and compare the existing steam valve piston with the product photograph.

For safety: before replacing the steam valve piston, unplug the coffee machine from the mains and allow it to cool down completely.
